OBJECT AND SCOPE OF APPLICATION

These terms and conditions are intended to inform users about the ordering, sales, payment, and delivery processes for purchases made through the d’ecolife website – www.thedeco.life (hereinafter referred to as the “online store” or “website”), owned by the company Inédita Matéria Unipessoal Lda, headquartered at Avenida Miguel Bombarda, 106, 1050-164 Lisbon, NIPC 516288024 (hereinafter referred to as "IM"), and the owner of the d’ecolife brand.

These terms also regulate the browsing and purchasing operations carried out on the online store by any individual using it for personal purposes as a final consumer, without the intention of reselling the acquired products, and by IM as the entity responsible for selling its products through the d’ecolife online store - Jewelry with a Story (d’ecolife - Jóias com Histórias).

The personal information provided by the user or final consumer (hereinafter referred to as the "client") will have legal effect, and their purchase will be considered an electronic transaction, meaning the absence of a physical signature cannot be used as an excuse for failing to meet contractual obligations.

The client agrees to use this website in compliance with applicable legislation, refraining from engaging in activities that are unlawful, immoral, contrary to good practices, or that infringe on the rights or interests of third parties.

By browsing the website and/or completing a purchase, the client fully accepts the terms and conditions outlined below.


CHANGES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS

IM reserves the right to modify these general conditions freely and at any time to comply with applicable laws, without prior notice. Additionally, IM reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notification to the client. The presentation and content of the website, including the displayed products, prices, discounts, services, and commercial terms, are subject to continuous changes aimed at improving the website and the d’ecolife - Jewelry with a Story brand, as well as the services provided to clients.

Despite all efforts to ensure accurate product descriptions, content, and services, the website may contain errors or incomplete information. If any error or miscommunication occurs, IM is committed to resolving the issue and providing the best possible service to the client. However, issues related to viruses or damages caused by the Shopify platform are not the responsibility of IM.


COMMERCIAL POLICY

Each order placed by the client is processed as a reservation of ownership. This means that the products remain the property of IM until full payment is received.


PRODUCT INFORMATION

IM ensures the provision of information regarding the essential characteristics of its products. Detailed technical descriptions of the materials used are provided, along with images illustrating the products for sale.

The images and photographs of the products aim to be as accurate as possible in terms of colors and formats. However, due to the unique production of each piece, slight differences and unique characteristics may occur. Clients should therefore expect slight variations in color, appearance, and shape. Additionally, color and brightness variations may result from the monitor or web browser being used. As such, clients are encouraged to carefully review product descriptions before purchasing and to contact IM for any clarification via email at thedecolifestyle@gmail.com.

IM reserves the right to correct any errors or omissions on the website at any time without prior notice. Additionally, IM may modify the website, its content, and the products or services described on it at any time without prior notice. The prices of products provided by IM will always be listed on the website, except in cases of typographical errors.


PRICING INFORMATION

The retail prices displayed on the online store are in euros (€) and include the applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) at a rate of 23%.

Shipping costs are the client’s responsibility for orders outside Portugal and Spain and are added to the total price of the selected products. However, for orders within Portugal and Spain, shipping is free of charge. Clients are informed of these shipping costs before confirming their order and completing the purchase process.

IM reserves the right to change prices at any time. However, it guarantees the application of the rates and prices indicated at the time of order placement.

If a pricing error occurs due to a system, manual, or technical issue, causing a significant unintentional change in the listed price, the order will be considered invalid and canceled.

If a pricing error occurs, IM will contact the client, offering them the choice to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it with a full refund. If the client requests a refund due to an incorrect price, it will be processed using the same payment method.


ORDER PROCESS

To make a purchase, clients must visit www.thedeco.life, go to the COLLECTIONS page, select a product, add it to the cart, and proceed with the purchase. These steps are explained in further detail below.

Registration:

Clients must create an account on the website. Purchases will be electronically recorded, and a summary of the purchased items will be sent via email after the transaction.

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that all required information is correctly and completely provided to enable IM to process and deliver the order.

Product Selection:

Clients can browse the online store and select the products they wish to purchase. Products can be added to the shopping cart and removed at any time before finalizing the order. Once the selection process is complete, the client should review their order before proceeding with payment via credit/debit card, Multibanco, PayPal or any other payment method provided.

IM is responsible for preparing and packaging online orders, subject to stock availability. If a product is out of stock, IM will inform the client as soon as possible.

IM reserves the right to refuse any order.


PAYMENT METHODS

The online store accepts the following payment methods:

  • Credit card
  • Debit card
  • PayPal
  • Multibanco
  • Mbway
  • Klarna

No other payment methods are accepted.

The client must pay the exact amount specified in the order confirmation using only the accepted payment methods. IM is not responsible for lost payments or any damages caused by using unauthorized payment methods.

If an order is canceled due to non-payment, the client will receive an email notification. This does not prevent the client from placing a new order in the future.


ORDER CONFIRMATION OR CANCELLATION

After completing a purchase, the client will receive an automatic email confirming the transaction, which should be kept for reference.

Orders will only be processed after payment confirmation. If payment is not received or if the client fails to comply with these general conditions, IM reserves the right to cancel the order.

IM reserves the right not to confirm or deliver an order in the following cases:

  • Unexpected events or circumstances affecting production, transportation, or material costs
  • Payment failure
  • Unavailability of ordered products
  • Errors in delivery details
  • Orders flagged as incorrect, irregular, or fraudulent

In such cases, IM will notify the client by email or phone and refund any amounts paid.


SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Orders are shipped via CTT Expresso within Portugal and Spain. For other locations, deliveries are handled by IBEROMAIL.

Each order includes a tracking number shared with the client upon dispatch. IM is not responsible for damages caused by the carrier.

Delivery Timeframes:

Orders are typically shipped within 2-7 business days after being placed. Delivery times vary between 1-10 business days in Portugal and up to one month for other European and international destinations.

IM is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier but provides all necessary support in resolving the situation.

Shipping Costs:

Shipping costs are calculated based on weight, volume, and postal code.


EXCHANGES, RETURNS & CLAIMS

Exchanges:

Clients have 14 days after receiving an order to request an exchange by emailing thedecolifestyle@gmail.com

Returns:

Returns are not accepted for jewelry items, as per applicable consumer protection laws.

Complaints:

Clients should report any product defects via email with supporting photographs. Complaints about transport-related damages should be addressed directly to the carrier.
